Emergency and Transitional Housing Resources

House of Hope

Provides fee-based shared housing for men, women, and women with children in Bend and Redmond.

Rental Assistance Programs

NeighborImpact

Offers eviction prevention funding to eligible households once every 12 months.

Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) Down Payment Assistance

Provides closing costs and down payment assistance to eligible first-time and first-generation homebuyers at or below 100% of the area median income.

Assistance Amount:

  • Up to $60,000 or 20% of the purchase price, whichever is less.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a homebuyer education course and meeting with a certified housing counselor.

Self-Sufficiency Program

Provides assistance with food stamps and other benefits.

Grandma’s House

Offers shelter and case management in Bend to pregnant and parenting youth aged 14-24 years old.

Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8)

Provides rent vouchers for low-income individuals, families, the elderly, and the disabled to secure housing in the private market.

Consumer Credit Counseling

Offers free financial advice and education.

St. Vincent de Paul

Provides food pantry services, medical and utilities assistance, and clothing.

Permanent Supportive Housing

Combines long-term affordable housing in Deschutes County with supportive services such as on-site healthcare, case management, and life-skills training.

Homeownership Assistance Programs

Oregon State Credit Union First-Time Homebuyer Loan

Offers flexible terms and financing with down payments as low as 3%.
